Another Post About Sporty Stuff

So, I was watching Peter Ebdon almost make a 147 at the Snooker World Championships last night and I got really excited as I’d never seen one happen live (on TV). He messed up on the 12th black but it got me thinking what the most special achievement an individual can accomplish at the highest level in any sport would be. Things that even the greatest players rarely achieve.

I have tried to put these in some kind of top 10 although quite often they depend on the quality of the opposition and so the ordering of these are disputable.

1. Darts: 9 dart finish.
2. Cricket: Hitting 6 sixes in 1 over.
3. Athletics: Breaking a world record.
4. Gymnastics: Scoring a 10/10.
5. Snooker: A 147 break.
6. Golf: A hole in 1 / An albatross (3 under par).
7. Football: Scoring from behind the half way line / running the ball from own penalty area and scoring.
8. Cricket: Hatrick (3 wickets in 3 balls).
9. Swimming: Breaking a world record.
10. Boxing: First round knock out.
