Beergut Prinz
The Women's Football European Championships concluded last night with an all too predictable win for Germany. (Unfortunately I predicted England to win and therefore only finished 7th in my prediction competition.)
Here are the final standings:
POS..NAME.......POINTS..%points..(prediction)
1....Old John.....35.....294.9.......18
2....Damon........35.....277.2.......18
3....Martin.......27.....163.9.......13
4....Mark.........27.....157.7.......10
5....Grange Phil..22.....231.4.......13
6....Monkey.......22.....171.9........6
7....Big Dave.....21.....160.0........9
8....Ruth.........18.....124.9........7
9....Little Dave..17.....127.4.......11
10...Darren.......14.....109.7........8
11...Liam.........14......84.4........5
12...Pete Cox.....13.....108.1........7
13...Reading Dave..8......60.3........5
(% points is a measure of how each person predicted results that other people didnt - its all very statistical)
Anyway OLD JOHN is the winner and his prize is the German striker Beergut Prinz for the week.

I'm not sure she's yours to give away...
Hooray, third! What on earth does this column in the middle mean then?
the score for a single game / team qualifying is added up for all the players (except the monkey) and then each person recieves %points for each proportion of this score depending on their contribution. so if 10 points were scored for the england v finland game and you got 3 points for it, you would gain 0.3 (30%) in %points. so if you predicted a score that other people didn't (the score line was unusual, you would gain more points)
happy now?
You're such a geek :-)
i love you too martin
