You can see the northern lights from Canada as well. When I lived in Northern Ontario for a couple of months we could see the northern lights very clearly. amazing.

DAve you are moving to Bedford? Cool, Dave Devenish's church is there...come visit Reading sometime.

Dave, would love to but am in Serbia with 24-7. But you should really fly to Belgrade that weekend and hang out with us over a pivo....

Of the places on your list, Dave, I've only been to Canvey Island. It's interesting for many reasons. One is that it's inhabited mainly by the Dutch, and the second that it gets flooded whenever the Thames barrier is shut. A truly remarkable place, I'm sure you'll agree.
